A complete walkthrough from zero to a running paper-trading bot. No code, no capital required, no credit card. This guide gets you past every friction point we've seen in beta testing.
Head to liquidedge.network. Click Log in in the top right, then Register now, and fill in your details.
Just want to try paper trading? You don't need a live exchange at all — sign up and log in, and you're set. It will take about a minute. Skip Steps 2–5 (creating and connecting an exchange account) entirely and jump straight to Step 6 to launch a paper-trading bot on a fully simulated balance — no real funds, no exchange connection.
Gmail is preferred, and wallet sign-up works too. Confirmation codes land most reliably on Gmail — other providers work, but occasionally delay or filter the email into spam. Onchain-focused users can also register by connecting a wallet directly instead of using email/password.
Check your inbox for the confirmation email and verify your account.
Once verified, log back in to the platform to confirm your account is active. You should land on the Liquid Edge dashboard. If you can see the sidebar with Billing, Exchange APIs, and Trading Terminal options, you're good to proceed.
Already have a crypto exchange account? If you have an existing account on a supported exchange, skip to Step 3 and connect it directly.
Liquid Edge currently supports multiple exchanges. We recommend:
More exchanges will be added shortly.
Once your account is open, deposit funds directly on the exchange — Liquid Edge never holds your balance. If you only plan to paper trade for now, you can skip funding entirely and come back to it later.
In the Liquid Edge dashboard, open Exchange APIs in the left sidebar → click Add New Exchange → select your exchange.
You'll see a referral confirmation prompt. Click "Yes, I've completed the referral process" and enter the email you used on the exchange you selected. The next screen prompts you to paste your API keys — create them in the next step.
In your exchange account, navigate to the API settings section. Most exchanges have a similar layout — look for API Management, API Settings, or API Keys in your account settings. Fill out the form:
| Field | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Permissions | Read + Trade | Never enable Withdraw |
| Bind IP Address | — empty — | Leave blank |
| Security Verification | 2FA + Email | Complete both |
Never enable Withdraw permissions. Liquid Edge does not need and will never request withdrawal access. If any tool asks you to enable withdrawals, that's a red flag — stop and verify you're on the right platform.
Your exchange will display your API Key and Secret Key one time.
Copy both keys immediately. The Secret Key is shown only once. If you close the window, you'll need to regenerate the key pair.
Return to Liquid Edge's exchange connection form and paste your API Key and Secret Key into their respective fields, then click Save Credentials.
Connection status will show Pending for 5–15 minutes while our system verifies access. Once verified, it updates to Active.
Feel free to close the tab while you wait. Activation continues in the background — no need to watch it load.
Open Trading Terminal in the sidebar → toggle Paper Trading mode ON → click Deploy New Strategy. We recommend this configuration for your first run:
Two ways to strategize — use one of the premade, Liquid Edge–verified strategy templates for a ready-to-go setup, or build your own from scratch in Strategy Studio with your own conditions and execution rules.
Live trading is available too — you can use your real exchange balance and trade live from the start if you prefer. We recommend starting in Paper Trading mode regardless, so you can see how a bot behaves before any real capital is on the line.
| Setting | Value | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Trading Pair | BTC/USDT | Deepest liquidity, cleanest signals |
| Risk Level | Aggressive | See meaningful activity during testing |
Finalize your configuration and click Deploy New Strategy. Your bot is now live and scanning markets.
Most strategies wait for specific setups. Seeing zero trades in the first hour is normal — the bot is being disciplined, not broken. Check logs in the Trading Terminal for live status.
Open the bot's settings panel to pause or fully stop a bot. No positions are forced — you retain control at all times.
Once you've observed your paper bot for a few days, disable Paper Trading and start with $100–$500. Monitor actively for the first 24–48 hours before scaling.
This is beta. We ship daily and iterate with early users. Report anything confusing — that's how this platform gets sharper.
